This individual will lead the development of next-generation applications that combine robust backend systems, intuitive front-end experiences, and comprehensive visibilityOur ideal candidate will have 5+ years of full stack Python experience, deep expertise in Monitoring and Observability across application, infrastructure, and network layers, and hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools and agentic workflows.This stable, growing company offers an attractive salary, along with a comprehensive benefits package, generous paid time off, company-paid holidays, and a 401K plan. Remote employees will work EST hours and travel to the Pittsburgh office occasionally for meetings.Responsibilities: Design and develop full-stack applications using Python (Django) and modern front-end frameworksBuild and evolve observability and telemetry capabilities across application and network layers (metrics, logs, traces/events)Develop resilient ingestion and processing services that transform raw operational signals into actionable insights for Network Operations and EngineeringImplement alerting, dashboards, and SLO/SLA reporting practices that reduce noise and accelerate incident responseLead incident response support, root cause analysis, and performance tuning using observability dataDeliver production-ready software using GitHub-based SDLC practices (code reviews, CI/CD, automated validation, safe releases)AI-assisted development focus: leverage AI-assisted coding tools and agentic workflows to accelerate delivery while ensuring correctness, security, and full observability of system behavior and outputsMentor developers and promote a culture of observability-driven development and operational excellenceCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Network Engineering, Operations/NOC, Product/Business) to align solutions with service reliability, performance, and business goalsRequired:7+ years of experience in software development; 5+ years in full-stack Python developmentStrong proficiency in Python and Django; experience delivering and supporting production web applications1+ years of experience steering/leading development efforts as a Team Lead, Project Manager, Product Owner, or similarSolid front-end experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React or Vue) and building user-friendly operational UIsDemonstrated experience implementing observability for production systems (metrics, logs, traces/events, alerting)Proven experience with Claude Code, Replit Agent, or similar AI-assisted coding toolsStrong experience with AWS services (or equivalent) and operating services in production environments.Familiarity with asynchronous/background processing and event-driven patterns (queues/workers/caches)Hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools and/or agentic workflows in real development (with guardrails, testing, and observability)Preferred:Proven experience building or integrating with network monitoring and observability platformsAbility to design scalable data pipelines for ingestion, normalization, storage, and retrieval of telemetryExperience integrating with infrastructure/network telemetry sources and/or monitoring platformsStrong SDLC discipline: GitHub workflows, CI/CD, automated testing, and operational readiness practices
