This position will focus on mental health rehabilitation through the creative arts.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor\'s Degree requiredDegree must be from an accredited institution and be related to mental health rehabilitation/ Creative Arts Therapy, including but not limited to Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Dance/Movement TherapyMinimum 3 years of Creative Art TherapiesLicensure commensurate with the degreePreferred:Masters degree preferredSupervisory experience preferredAcute setting and Behavioral Health experience preferredEating disorder experience a plusScheduling RequirementsDay shiftsPer Diem Schedule (Every other weekend)Essential FunctionsThe Adjunct Therapist participates in the design, implementation and evaluation of the therapeutic programming.All methods of practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence.Assess, plan, implement and evaluate therapeutic, educational and diversionary recreation services to restore, remediate and/or rehabilitate effects of illness and disability.Through the provision of therapy, programs, resources, and support staff work with patients to encourage the development of satisfying recreational interests and skills for participation in departmental recreational programs.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
