Submit your application for the opportunity below: Respiratory Therapy Educator Job Summary and Qualifications Strong clinical education programs shape the future of nursing and the safety of patient care. As the Nurse Residency Coordinator, you will lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of division-wide nurse residency and onboarding programs that set up new Registered Nurses for confident, competent practice. You will ensure these programs are evidence-driven, regulatory aligned, and built to strengthen clinical outcomes, support retention, and prepare the next generation of nurses to deliver exceptional care. Your responsibilities will include: Designing, implementing, and evaluating nurse residency and onboarding programs that build competency, support retention, and align with clinical standards Developing and managing competency pathways, assessments, and learning plans using adult learning principles and proven evaluation methods (e.g., Kirkpatrick) to close practice gaps Integrating evidence-based practice, simulation, and quality improvement into curricula to advance clinical performance and measurable patient outcomes Ensuring program compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements (Joint Commission, Medicare/Medicaid, state standards) and maintaining required documentation Partnering with division and facility clinical leaders, CPDE/MCPD, and care teams to align education with patient outcome goals, workforce needs, and long-term development Tracking program performance, analyzing outcomes and feedback, reporting key indicators, and applying insights to strengthen program effectiveness Supporting operational success through budget participation, resource stewardship, flexible scheduling to meet learning needs, and emergency/command center support when needed Advancing professional growth by building pathways to certification, mentorship opportunities, and career development for nursing staff What qualifications you will need: Must hold a current Respiratory Therapist license from Missouri Board for Respiratory Care, NBRC RRT Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory, Healthcare administration, education or other clinical related field Microsoft Office, Meditech, Research Advanced Cardiac Life Support Shift Lead experience preferred 5 years in acute critical care American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS and NRP required upon hire Neonate Resuscitate Benefits Research Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
