PMs are responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards and applicable laws and regulations. As a Project Management Intern, you will assist in all of these activities by offering support and utilizing prior knowledge. The descriptions below are representative of, but not limited to, the expectations of this role.Five Key Roles of the Project Management Intern:Organizing and planning for the safe and efficient execution of the assigned projectsAssist in maintaining the financial controls of the project for the profit/loss of the projectAssisting in developing and maintaining the project scheduleCollaborating with PM team to estimate, price and negotiate the price on projectsWorking with Superintendents and Estimating teams for project collaborationEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Assisting with department initiativesContinually expanding knowledge and use of industry best practices and innovationSolving problems, as they arise, by using available knowledge and resourcesOther duties as assignedEducation, Experience & Qualifications:Currently working towards a degree in Construction Management or related fieldCompetency with computers and basic programs/softwareExcellent written and oral communication skillsDetail-oriented and excellent organization skillsCreative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivationExcellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individualsTravel:Light travel may be required for this position. Travel may include, but is not limited to, travel from office to various job sites. Fessler and Bowman will compensate for travel when applicable.Work Environment:As a Project Management Intern, you will be subject to various work environments. Environments include but are not limited to the following: office and field settings, high/low temperatures, areas close to traffic, loud and frequent noises, confined spaces, heights, indoor/outdoor settings.Recruitment Process:The recruitment process will include a phone screen, in-person meeting, and a pre-employment background check and drug test.Fessler & Bowman is an Equal Opportunity Employer
