Production Machine Operator

As we expand our operations, we are looking for dedicated and experienced Machine Operators to join our Protek Cargo family and team and help drive our production operations to new heights. Our ideal Machine Operator is one who works well under pressure, is results driven and excels in a high demand production environment while maintaining a strong focus on quality, efficiency and safety. Our ideal Machine Operator will be one who has a proven mechanical ability and is able to quickly troubleshoot issues and make the necessary adjustments / repairs to avoid unnecessary machine downtime. We are looking for a Machine Operator who is a quick thinker with a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, able to balance the demands of production the queue while maintaining an upbeat work atmosphere and a high morale amongst the entire Team. Key Responsibilities: · Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure efficient and safe operation. · Set up machines for production runs, including calibration, adjustments, and loading materials. · Inspect machinery before and after use, performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting as needed. · Follow production schedules and instructions to meet daily targets. · Perform quality checks on products during and after production to ensure they meet company standards. · Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety regulations and protocols. · Record production data and report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor. · Assist with machine changeovers and adjustments as needed to accommodate different products. Qualifications: · Previous experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing environment. · Basic mechanical skills with the ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting. · Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. · Ability to read and interpret production schedules, manuals, and safety guidelines. · Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the shift. · Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. · High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: · Certification or training in machine operation or maintenance. · Experience with plastic extrusion machinery and or injection molding. · Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Google Drive, NetSuite and or equivalent ERP.
