DR Lead

DR Lead:On behalf of our healthcare client, Procom is searching for a DR Lead for a permanent role. This position is a remote position based in Chicago, Illinois. DR Lead - Job Description:The DR Lead will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing disaster recovery strategies and plans to ensure continuous availability of critical technology infrastructure and applications. This role involves collaboration with the Manager of Cybersecurity Disaster Recovery and coordinating efforts across various teams and departments for disaster recovery exercises and documentation. DR Lead - Responsibilities:• Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans and strategies in alignment with regulatory, industry, and best-practice standards. • Guide IT and business application teams on disaster recovery planning procedures. • Conduct regular disaster recovery risk assessments and business impact analyses. • Coordinate with IT departments to ensure robust backup systems and data replication. • Lead disaster recovery drills and simulations to evaluate plan effectiveness. • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders for minimal disruption during disasters. • Maintain up-to-date documentation of disaster recovery procedures and strategies. • Provide training and guidance on disaster recovery best practices. • Stay informed on trends and emerging technologies in disaster recovery and healthcare IT security. DR Lead - Mandatory Skills:• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. • At least 5 years of experience in disaster recovery or business continuity planning in the healthcare sector. • Strong knowledge of healthcare IT systems and disaster recovery practices. • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH). • Experience with disaster recovery solutions and data backup technologies. • Knowledgeable in virtual servers, database replication, networks, cloud technologies, Citrix, SaaS. • Strong leadership and communication skills. DR Lead - Nice-to-Have Skills:• Master's degree in a related field. • Security certification (CISSP, CISA, CBCP, AHPCP, CHPCP). • Workable understanding of enterprise business continuity. • Ability to liaise with teams managing Business Continuity.
