VP, LendingLocation: Onsite - Livonia, MIOur client, Zeal Credit Union, is seeking a VP of Lending to join their leadership team in an onsite capacity. Keep scrolling to see what this company has to offer.The Perks!Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000, based on experienceBenefits: 401k + company matching, health, dental, and vision insurance benefits, paid time offA Day in the Life of the VP, LendingIn this role, you’ll lead the full scope of lending operations, driving strategy, performance, and innovation across consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending. You’ll collaborate with executive leadership to align lending initiatives with organizational goals while ensuring compliance and operational excellence. Your leadership will directly impact member satisfaction and the credit union’s continued growth and success.Responsibilities include:Develop and execute a comprehensive lending strategy aligned with organizational goalsOversee all lending functions, including consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending operationsLead, mentor, and develop lending leadership and staff to achieve performance goalsApprove, deny, or modify loan applications in accordance with policy and risk standardsEstablish and monitor departmental goals, ensuring alignment with strategic objectivesDrive process improvements and implement technology enhancements in lending systemsEnsure compliance with all lending regulations, policies, and industry standardsParticipate in strategic planning, policy development, and organizational initiativesAnalyze lending performance and present reports to executive leadership and the BoardManage departmental budget, resources, and vendor relationshipsBuild and maintain relationships within the secondary market and oversee loan salesResearch and implement new lending products and services to stay competitiveCollaborate cross-functionally to support lending promotions and member engagementRequirements and Qualifications:7+ years of progressive lending AND leadership experienceBachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related fieldStrong experience with consumer, mortgage, and commercial lendingDemonstrated success in loan sales and servicingIn-depth understanding of lending regulations, compliance, and risk managementExperience managing budgets and departmental financialsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesAbility to interpret financial data and perform complex calculationsUnderstanding of loan documentation, lien laws, and bankruptcy/collection regulationsAbout the Hiring Company:Our client is committed to building strong, trusted relationships with its members by delivering exceptional financial solutions and service.
