Network Engineer-Senior I

Security Clearance: TS/SCI (Must be willing to obtain a CI Poly)Location: Peterson AFB, CO Job Type: Full-Time Target Salary Range*: $146,500 - $149,000.This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salaryPosition OverviewSpecial Access Program (SAP)Key Responsibilities Under general direction, manages the purchase, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems.Responsible for evaluating current systems. Works on complex problems where analysis of situation requires in-depth evaluation of various factors.Plans large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies. Provides work leadership and training to lower level network engineers.Requires expert knowledge of LAN/WAN systems, networks, and applications.Performance shall include:Designing and defining system architecture for new or existing computer systemsApplying proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investmentsDesigning, implementing and managing high availability/clustering and disaster recovery environmentSupporting establishment of plans and templates in line with the overall technical architecture format and program infrastructure platformCompleting technical documentation to design, test, implement, train, and transition solutions to operational supportTroubleshooting and deep dive into VMware infrastructure. Other application experience is helpful: Exchange Server, Active Directory, Azure, VPN, and other relevant IT related technologiesMonitoring, administer, and maintain vCenter modules and configurationsSupporting implementation, configuration, operations, and maintenance of VMware components to include vCenter Server, ESXi Hosts, Standard/Distributed vSwitches, vSphere Data Protection, Operations Manager, etc.Designing, implementing, and maintaining a hybrid cloud integrate with multiple public cloud service providersResearching/assisting in development, and/or participating in hands-on installation, configuration, and maintenance of large enterprise applications.Includes troubleshooting hardware, software, network and system production issues, supporting deployment of other Storage and OS configuration components, automation and upgrade, Continuity ofOperation, backup and recoveryOther Requirements:Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardwareAbility to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllersKnowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocolsAbility to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resourcesQualificationsEducation:Bachelors Degree and 7 year of relevant experience OR Associates and 9 year of experience OR 11 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.Certifications IAT Level 2
