Position Title: Confidential VP of Human ResourcesThis role is pivotal in shaping the human resources strategy within a private, employee-owned company. The VP of Human Resources will be responsible for fostering a culture that inspires trust and engagement among employees. The individual will face the challenge of integrating into a new team while managing various HR functions, including employee relations and compliance with employment laws. This position requires a strong leader who understands the nuances of human behavior and can navigate complex organizational dynamics. A commitment to the company's core values and the ability to connect with employees on a personal level are essential for success in this role.VP of Human Resources Responsibilities:Support company goals through HR and people strategyDevelop relationships with employees to understand their needsTrack key HR metrics and performanceEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment lawsManage HR department budgetSupport training and development for employees and leadershipDesign compensation, benefits, and performance programsProvide guidance to leadership and managers on HR mattersOversee employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, training, growth, compensation, medical benefits, Workers' Comp, safety, insurance carrier relationships, driving policies, and employee eventsHire, train, and support HR team membersComplete daily HR work and provide feedback and performance reviewsHandle discipline and terminations according to company policyVP of Human Resources Requirements:10+ years of overall HR experience5+ years of management experienceMust be titled "VP of HR" or "Director of HR"Bachelor's degreeExperience with any HR program; familiarity with Kronos software is a plusProficiency in Word and OutlookExperience in manufacturing or construction industries is preferredExperience in environments with a high number of hourly employees is preferredCandidates who have grown with companies and navigated difficult decisions are preferredSHRM certification is preferredExperience in meat facilities is preferredBilingual in Spanish and English is preferredBenefits:Medical InsuranceDental and vision insurance401(k) plan with a 6% matchEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) with profit sharing
