Database Administrator Primary Location: Seattle, Washington V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for an Database Administrator for our premier client in Seattle, Washington. Education and Experience » Experience with Oracle GoldenGate replication technology Experience with IBM s DataStage a plus Experience with the development models such as Agile and SDLC Experience in data management best practices Knowledge, Skills and Abilities » Primary Skill-Oracle-Cassandra and No SQL database experience is a must. Position requires strong Oracle database skills Able to troubleshoot and tune SQL performance issues Experience with Cassandra/CQL/DataStax tools Firm understanding of the core concepts of Cassandra and able to assist with troubleshooting problems Some Project management skills required Knowledge and experience with performance tuning SQL Excellent written and verbal communication skills Willingness to learn both new and aging technologies as needed Detail orientated. Desired Qualifications Experience working in an Agile team NDM (ConnectDirect) and OpenSSH familiarity Autosys and DataStage experience desired WHAT YOU’LL DO: Job Responsibilities: Identify gaps in data management standards adherence, and work with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps. Lead concept and experimentation testing and synthesize the results to validate and improve analytical solution. Monitor key performance indicators and internal controls. Mentor more junior Data Engineers and coach the team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack Participate in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Utilize multiple architectural components in design and development of client requirements. Collaborate with development teams to understand data requirements and ensure the data architecture is feasible to implement and subsequently implemented accurately Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional requirements.
