Toledo Clinic's Rheumatology Office, Arthritis Associates, is seeking a full-time Rad Tech to provide support in their office setting. The office is located on Woodley Rd in Toledo OH. This position will work Mon/Tues/Thurs (7:45am - 5:00pm), Wed (7:45am - 4:00pm) and Fri (7:45am - noon).General SummaryPerforms radiology procedures as ordered by physicianWorks under the supervision of the attending physician(s) and/or the practice managerPrincipal Duties & ResponsibilitiesExample of Essential Duties:Perform Routine Radiographic Procedures required by physicians.Perform Dexa Scans, analyze & run FRAX.Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to):Scheduling x-ray appointments in the EHR and radiology programs.Preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, reviewing medical history, and adhering to safety protocols.Positioning patients accurately for requested X-ray views and adjusting equipment to obtain optimal images.Exercise Radiation Safety; Applying shielding and techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and themselves.Using digital radiography equipment, as well as maintaining, cleaning, and troubleshooting machinery. Monitor equipment/report issues and schedule preventative maintenance/request service when instructed.Documenting, processing, and storing images in PACS and maintaining patient records.Maintain x-ray area to be kept clean and free of clutter. Prepare and sanitize appropriately between patientsMaintain x-ray storage.Retrieve & sign out x-rays as necessary per patient/physician/outside request.Other miscellaneous duties as assigned such as scanning, faxing, answering phones, verifying insuranceRequiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Registered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists along with 1 year experience State licensure required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.Strong communication, attention to detail, patient positioning skills, and proficiency with Electronic Health Records. Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles. Adheres to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.Education: Successful completion of accredited radiologic technologist program.
