Learn more at FuturePlan.com.Section 1: Position SummaryThe DB Plan Termination Consultant is a position on the Plan Terminations Team responsible for all aspects of processing DB Plan Terminations. The DB Plan Termination Consultant is responsible for managing all aspects of plan administration for an assigned caseload of clients.Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview of necessary government forms required for a plan terminationCoordinate Compliance testing, analysis and corrective actionsReview of annual valuation and Form 5500 filingCoordinate projected and year end non-discrimination testingCoordinate calculation and allocation of annual employer contributionsIdentify and resolve plan discrepanciesCensus review, eligibility calculations, trust accounting and asset reconciliationEnsure compliance with DOL and IRS requirementsProcess final distribution of assets to participants. Work with clients, plan sponsors, participants and others during the plan termination process regarding distribution of plan assetsEffectively communicates with clients, brokers, and staff in answering questions and problem solving. Monitors and follows up on pending plan termination requests. Track progress of all plan terminations to ensure deadlines are met. Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients. Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to make sound decisionsResults orientedStrong knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience with ASC is preferred. Qualified candidates will have 2-3 years of experience working with ERISA qualified plans. Finance and accounting experience is an additional asset for this positionHigh school diploma or equivalent required; two or four year degree preferred.
