Our diverse team of experts spreading to National territories create innovative, integrated solutions to make cities more connected, buildings more intelligent and environments more comfortable and secure.Job Overview:The Superintendent, is responsible for overseeing and managing field labor performance of multiple concurrent projects, oversight of field supervision and installation on assigned electrical projects from inception to completion. Your primary objective will be to ensure that safety and field operation procedures are followed and that projects are managed to the extent of meeting or beating labor budgets while ensuring the successful execution of electrical projects, including planning, organizing, and coordinating activities related to installation, testing, and commissioning. You will collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks (previously named Roles, Responsibilities and Tasks):Maintain and Update Manpower log indicating current and future manpower projectionsAccurately forecast labor needs to ensure that proper manpower levels are maintainedAssist Foreman in planning the job, ensuring that material, manpower and equipment are onsite to perform workUpdate manpower needs to the needed manpower log to ensure that requisitions are properly and timely requested from RecruitingReview and Monitor labor efficiencies, hours and ratios.Project labor needs for the duration of the project with monthly updatesTrack and monitor material costs, storage consumed and ordered to identify potential problems while minimizing overrunsEnsure company guidelines are followed by field staffMonitor and address safety hazards or potential problems with ForemanMaintain ongoing and open communication with Foreman, site management and Project Management. Provide technical support as neededMonitor codes, specifications, and installation methods. Maintain thorough knowledge of systems and equipment being installedAttend meetings as necessary for field related items with project team and general contractorEnsure that project installation is on trackBe the main OFFSITE point of contact to the General Contractors Superintendent for escalated issuesWalk projects weekly reviewing and inspecting installation methods and quality of work performed.Ensure that Forman is compliant with company policy and procedures. Hold Foreman accountable for meeting project objectives and compliance with Forman job responsibilitiesEnsure that all assigned projects meet or beat labor rate budgetEnsure that all assigned projects meet or beat labor hour budgetForeman Project AssignmentCreate and manage overall project schedule (Capacity Overview) and update as required or monthly at minimumReview SIS’s weekly with Foremen and make labor adjustments as requiredEnsure 10-5-2-1 is performed with proper internal and external notifications as requiredProvide accurate project manpower projections and update weeklyParticipate in weekly manpower meetingsManage field workforce and communicate issues to Human ResourcesProvide project information to all new workforce starting on the projectManage and execute Corrective Action Plans as requiredParticipate in weekly manpower meetingsProvide accurate weekly projections of manpower based on PMP’sManage foremen and communicate issues to HRManage field force and communicate issues to HRMake manpower callsJob site risk managementSecurity on jobsiteSafety meetings and safe work practicesQuality controlCode enforcementUtility coordinationMonitor Foremen phone usageMonitor Foremen vehicle usageTravel pay determinationAssist in Foreman bonus determinationForeman classification determinationTool coordinationVehicle coordinationDelivery Schedule coordinationPrefab/manufacturing coordinationIdentify field training needs and utilize the Workforce Development Team for assistance and implementationAttend all assigned project Installation Turnover meetings to provide guidance and feedback on constructability and project flow to project team.Review specifications and drawings for assigned projects to determine cost savings ideas with project team.Facilitate a review of all installation “EZ” drawings with field foreman to ensure cost savings ideas are implemented and or constructability issues are resolvedIdentify critical path tasks and their durations. Coordinate internally with project manager and foreman for implementation into project schedule to eliminate potential issues and capitalize on schedule opportunities. Review the kit Electronic Bills of Materials (EBOM’s) and field installation “EZ” drawings with Foreman prior to delivery to ensure completeness and accuracyReview first 20% of each kit installation with Foreman to identify and implement labor or material savings methodsEnsure the use of field quality control measuresAttend all weekly assigned reoccurring project meetingsAssess and evaluate Site Supervisor’s skill set and develop an individual training program to address gapsDesign and deliver training to all Site Supervisors on how to develop the skills of upper-level trainees through journey level craftspeopleAssess journey workers to identify potential future Site Supervisors and facilitate their development and promotion to Level 1 foremanCoach individuals on their career goals and progress What's in it for You?We're growing and need people excited about honing their craft and developing their career. This position may be required to travel to various project sites.EOEQualificationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Site leadership competency at Level 5 Foreman or higherMust have, or be willing and be able to obtain within 6 months of starting, an OSHA 30 construction certificate & CPR/ First aid certificateMinimum of 15 years of electrical construction experienceGood verbal and written communication skills, including speaking to large groups and provide group trainingStrong internal and external customer orientationAbility to manage multiple tasks Physical Requirements:Ability to verbally communicate: convey detailed and accurate instructions and information.Ability to hear with or without correction in order to receive and interpret detailed information.Required to sit at a desk work station for long periods of time.Push, pull, lift, and carry at least 10 pounds.Frequently required to walk and stand. This position may involve infrequent site visits which will require the ability to walk on uneven surfaces, climb stairs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.Required to have visual acuity with or without correction in order to read contract documents, analyze data, view a computer monitor, and proof-read documents to identify errors.
