Youth Basketball Coach

Love basketball? Great with kids? Want to make a lasting impact in your community? Hoop Show Basketball is hiring motivated, positive coaches to lead weekly youth basketball classes for ages 5–15. This is a part-time role focused on confidence-building, skill development, and grassroots outreach. You'll begin by coaching once per week at one of our core locations (Orange, Anaheim, Garden Grove) — and you’ll have the chance to earn more hours and increased pay by helping invite families to try our skills classes, and showing you are a quality skills coach. This is an ideal opportunity for: Coaches, players, or educators with youth experience People looking to grow their impact and income over time Anyone passionate about youth mentorship and basketball development Starting Schedule You will begin with ONE of the following weekly shifts: Mondays (4:00–6:00 PM) in Orange Wednesdays (4:00–5:00 PM) in Garden Grove or Anaheim Fridays (5:00-6:00 PM) in Orange More shifts may be added based on performance and program growth. Responsibilities Lead youth basketball skills classes once per week Follow structured curriculum (ball handling, shooting, defense) Build rapport with kids and families through energy and encouragement Submit class attendance logs and track new player invites Invite families to try our skills classes via flyer or form (training provided) Maintain professional communication in our internal team app Represent the Hoop Show brand and mission in your community If you're interested fill out our pre-interview form here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfBBAvNMutfOqU2Nve9zDDQJCe_Csm6cjiT6bRVRcy9n_g_jA/viewform?usp=header ***note*** this is the fastest way for you to hear back from us Qualifications Required: Experience working with youth (sports, education, or mentorship) Available Mondays or Wednesdays at listed times Energetic, clear communicator with reliable transportation Comfortable engaging with families and parents Preferred: Coaching background or college/pro-level playing experience Familiarity with age-based skill development Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus Compensation $20/hour starting pay for weekly Skills Coaching shifts Earn $20 per player you invite who attends a class Eligible for Head Team Coach, Assistant Team Coach, and more skills class days after 30 days + hitting recruitment & performance goals Job Type: Contract Pay: From $20.00 per hour Work Location: In person
