Job Description Salary: $19 per hourChrysalis Psychiatry is a growing outpatient mental health practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We offer a variety of mental health services including medication management, psychotherapy, and interventional treatments for PTSD, depression, and other mental illnesses. If you are passionate about mental health, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we invite you to apply.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, andmaintainingrecords and accounts.Welcomespatients and visitors in person or on the telephone.Optimizespatients satisfaction, provider time, and treatment roomutilizationby scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.Keepspatient appointments on schedule by notifying provider ofpatientsarrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.Comforts patients byanticipatingpatients anxieties, answering patients questions, andmaintainingthe reception area.Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information,recordingand collecting patientcharges, andfiling, collecting, andexpeditingthird-party claims.Helps patientsindistress by responding to emergencies.Protects patients rights bymaintainingconfidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.Perform related duties as assigned bysupervisor.Maintain compliance with allcompanypolicies andprocedures.Other duties as assigned.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:At least 2years experienceas a Medical Receptionist, supervisory experiencea plus.Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) system for patient registration, documentation, billing, and scheduling.General understanding of medical insurance processes, billing practices, and reimbursement fundamentals.Experience collecting patient payments, including copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances, with professionalism and accuracy.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, includingabilityto effectively communicate internally and with patients.Excellent computerproficiency(MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, whilemaintaininga positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.High school diploma or GED required.Physical Requirements:Ability tosafely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistentwith the ADA, FMLA and other federal,stateand local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability tomaintainregular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal,stateand localstandardsMust be able totalk,listenand speak clearly ontelephone
