Senior Accountant, Revenue Accounting
Ready to be part of something special?Join our Family!B&G Foods is seeking a Senior Accountant, Revenue Accounting to support the accuracy and timeliness of accounting activities related to revenue, billing, trade and commissions. This role is primarily execution‑focused and supports monthly close, reconciliations, and compliance with US GAAP, working closely with Sales Finance, Accounts Receivable, and the Corporate Accounting team. The position reports to the Corporate Controller (or designee).ResponsibilitiesPerform revenue accounting activities related to the revenue cycle, including billings, trade, commissions, and related accrualsPrepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reporting, including sales, trade activity, and related analytics; ensure reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with financial close and management reporting requirementsPrepare and analyze monthly revenue, trade, coupon, slotting, and commission activity to ensure accurate recordingPrepare monthly journal entries and supporting account reconciliationsAssist in the preparation of internal and external reporting schedules on a monthly and quarterly basisPrepare account reconciliations and account activity analyses, investigating and resolving variancesApply established revenue recognition policies and procedures in accordance with US GAAP; escalate complex accounting matters as neededSupport the annual financial statement audit and internal audit requestsParticipate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements, as assignedProvide support for ad hoc analyses and projects, as requestedExperience, Skills, Education4–6 years of hands‑on accounting experience, including general ledger, revenue accounting, trade deductions, and month‑end close activitiesWorking knowledge of revenue recognition principles under US GAAPExperience in a CPG or similar industry preferred, but not requiredStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsAbility to follow established accounting policies and proceduresJDE system experience preferredExperience with financial reporting tools (e.g., EPM, Hubble) preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficient in Microsoft ExcelAbility to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with cross‑functional teams as neededCompensationBase Pay Range:$81,772.00 - $136,287.00Final base pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to; role responsibilities, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and/or internal pay equity.
