In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the administration of employee benefit programs, leave management, and HR compliance initiatives across multiple locations. This role serves as a key resource for employees and leaders by ensuring accurate benefits processing, maintaining confidential records, and providing guidance on healthcare, disability, and leave-related matters.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister employee leave programs including FMLA, personal leaves, short-term disability, and medical accommodationsCoordinate benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and employee eligibility updatesMaintain accurate employee benefit information within HRIS and benefits administration systemsReview and reconcile monthly benefit invoices and assist with vendor billing discrepanciesGenerate recurring and ad hoc HR reports related to benefits participation, leave usage, and workforce trendsAnalyze benefits data and provide recommendations to improve employee utilization and compliance practicesMonitor federal and state regulations impacting benefits administration and leave policiesPrepare weekly, quarterly, and annual reporting metrics for HR leadershipRespond to employee inquiries regarding insurance plans, retirement benefits, enrollments, and claims supportAssist with annual open enrollment planning, employee communications, and vendor coordinationPartner with insurance carriers and third-party administrators to resolve claims and coverage issuesSupport onboarding activities and present benefits information during new hire orientation sessionsMaintain confidential medical, insurance, and employee records in accordance with company policies and HIPAA standardsQualifications & ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience with a strong focus on benefits and leave administrationBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience consideredWorking knowledge of FMLA, ADA, ACA, COBRA, workers’ compensation, and disability regulationsExperience utilizing HRIS platforms and benefits administration softwareStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex benefits information clearlyHigh level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential employee informationExcellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities in a deadline-driven environmentProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and reporting toolsCorporate Resources on behalf of our client located in Elgin, IL, is hiring a Benefits Specialist.
