JOB SUMMARYThe organization is a trusted representative and distributor of leading manufacturers serving municipal and industrial water and wastewater markets throughout the Northeast. The organization is committed to operational excellence, technical expertise, and delivering reliable infrastructure solutions that support critical public and industrial operations.The Site Controller is a critical operational and financial leader responsible for overseeing the administrative, accounting, and financial management functions of the organization. This role ensures financial integrity, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and accurate reporting while supporting business growth through strong financial controls, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration. The Site Controller serves as a key partner to leadership, operations, and sales, providing financial insight and structure to drive informed decision-making and sustainable performance.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSFinancial Operations & Accounting Management:Maintain accurate and compliant financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations.Oversee daily accounting operations to ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and internal control compliance.Generate customer invoices, monitor receivables, and manage collections processes to support healthy cash flow.Manage ERP system financial data integrity (e.g., Global Shop or similar platforms).Financial Reporting & Compliance:Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.Maintain strong internal controls and audit-ready financial documentation.Support internal and external audits as required.Track and payout commissions for employeesWorking knowledge or willingness to learn QuickBooksStrategic Financial Support & Business Partnership:Partner with sales and operations teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and financial projections.Provide financial insights and reporting that support operational planning and business strategy.Translate financial data into actionable business intelligence for leadership decision-making.Administrative Leadership & Office Operations:Develop, implement, and maintain office policies and procedures to improve efficiency, compliance, and operational consistency.Oversee administrative operations and workflows to support business continuity and scalability.Recruit, onboard, train, and manage administrative and accounting staff as needed.Build a structured, accountable, and service-oriented administrative team culture.Leadership, Governance & Professional Standards:Model integrity, accountability, and professionalism in all financial and operational practices.Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all financial and personnel matters.Support organizational values, compliance standards, and operational excellence initiatives.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.Experience working within ERP systems (e.g., Global Shop or similar platforms). Ability and willingness to learn proprietary systems such as Q-Commissions.Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and internal controls.Advanced organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently while effectively partnering across departments.Experience managing administrative or accounting teams strongly preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.
