Health And Safety Manager

PROMAN Staffing is supporting a global manufacturing client in search of a Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Manager to lead SHE programs at their Cleveland, Ohio chemical manufacturing facility. This DIRECT HIRE role is critical to ensuring safe, compliant operations in a regulated, process‑driven environment while supporting continuous improvement across production, maintenance, and engineering.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Safety, Health, and Environmental programs within a chemical and/or batch manufacturing facilityEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations, including Process Safety Management (PSM)Drive risk assessments, incident investigations, and preventive actions related to high‑hazard processesPartner with Operations and Engineering on process design, change management, and engineering controlsSupport safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non‑hazardous chemicals and waste streamsAnalyze safety, health, and environmental trends and implement corrective and preventive actionsDevelop and deliver SHE training for operators, technicians, and leadershipLead emergency response planning, drills, and coordination with local agenciesPrepare regulatory reports and communicate effectively with leadership and authoritiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in occupational health, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fieldSHE leadership experience in chemical, batch, or regulated manufacturing environments requiredStrong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, PSM, and environmental complianceOSHA 30 requiredExperience supporting hazardous materials, high‑risk processes, and manufacturing operations
