Product Manager

ONLY W2 Only USC and GC holders Only local to Boston, MA Product Manager Financial Services Boston, MA (4 days onsite required) Contract | 6+ months We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with strong Financial Services expertise to support a leading investment management firm. This role focuses on building and enhancing platforms across Investment Management and Private Markets (Private Equity & Private Credit). This is a high-visibility role working closely with business, data, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities Own and drive product roadmap for Investment Management & Private Markets platforms Partner with Investment, Operations, Fund Accounting, and Technology teams to define product requirements Translate complex financial workflows into clear user stories and product features Lead product initiatives across: Investment operations workflows Fund accounting & transaction lifecycle Market & security reference data Data ingestion, mapping, and distribution Ensure accurate data management and mapping across multiple systems Collaborate with engineering teams on SQL-based data analysis, validation, and reconciliation Support integration of reference data into investment and accounting platforms Act as SME for private market transactions (capital calls, distributions, valuations) Support data governance, reporting, and audit requirements Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager / Product Owner / BA in Financial Services Strong experience in Investment Management & Investment Operations Deep knowledge of Private Markets (Private Equity & Private Credit) Solid understanding of Fund Accounting & transaction lifecycles Experience with Market & Security Reference Data Hands-on experience with data management and system integrations Strong SQL skills (data analysis, validation, troubleshooting) Experience working in Agile environments with engineering/data teams Strong communication skills across business and technical stakeholders
