This individual will play a key role improving the quality, consistency, structure, and usability of critical investment, finance, operations, and reporting data across the business.This role sits at the intersection of private equity, data, reporting, finance, operations, and technology. The position offers strong exposure to senior leadership and will partner closely with Finance, Operations, Reporting, Technology, and business stakeholders to build scalable data governance practices and support broader finance transformation initiatives across a sophisticated investment platform.The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in asset management, private equity, investment operations, fund finance, reporting, data governance, data management, or a closely related field. They should be detail-oriented, intellectually curious, comfortable working with senior stakeholders, and excited to help improve how a premier investment firm organizes, governs, and uses business-critical data.Company Overview & BenefitsThe firm offers a highly competitive total compensation and benefits package, including:Competitive base salary + annual bonus + profit sharing, with an estimated total package of of up to $210kComprehensive healthcare, dental, and vision coverageStrong retirement and wellness benefitsHybrid work environment, generally 3 days in office/2 days remoteCollaborative, team-oriented culture with strong mentorshipHigh visibility to senior finance, data, and operating leadersOpportunity to build a long-term career within one of Boston’s most prestigious investment firmsResponsibilitiesData Governance: Support data governance standards, controls, and best practices across the global private equity platform.Data Quality: Help improve the accuracy, consistency, completeness, and usability of key investment, finance, operations, and reporting data.Business Partnership: Partner with Finance, Operations, Reporting, Technology, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and improve workflows.Finance Transformation: Support initiatives that streamline reporting, reduce manual processes, and improve data-driven decision-making.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance documentation, controls, workflows, and recurring data processes.Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as a bridge between business users and technical teams to translate requirements into practical solutions.Reporting Support: Help ensure key data elements are properly defined, sourced, maintained, and available for reporting and analytics.Strategic Projects: Contribute to ad hoc projects tied to data quality, reporting infrastructure, operating model design, and platform growth.What We’re Looking For6+ years of experience in asset management, private equity, investment operations, fund finance, reporting, data governance, data management, or a closely related fieldStrong understanding of investment management, private equity, fund structures, reporting workflows, or finance/operations processesAbility to translate business requirements into structured data, reporting, process, or governance solutionsStrong Excel and analytical skillsExposure to data tools, reporting platforms, databases, SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, or similar tools is a plusStrong attention to detail and comfort working with complex data sets, definitions, and workflowsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical or data-related concepts to non-technical stakeholdersBachelor’s degree required; finance, accounting, business, information systems, data analytics, or related field preferred
