This is an onsite/full-time/direct-hire positionSalary range based on experience: $25-$30/HRThis role is responsible for producing high-quality rhodium, palladium, and gold plating while maintaining precise control over chemical processes, plating baths, and equipment performance.The ideal candidate has an interest or background in chemistry, electrical systems, and laboratory processes, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in maintaining an organized and controlled work environment. Much of this work takes place in a lab-style production environment, where attention to detail, documentation, and safety are critical. Candidates who are science-minded, efficient, and capable of managing complex processes with minimal supervision will thrive in this role.Roles & Responsibilities: Electroplating ProductionOperate electroplating lines used for rhodium, palladium, and gold plating of jewelryExecute plating processes according to production orders and quality specificationsMonitor bath chemistry, plating thickness, and production outputEnsure consistent quality of finished plated productEquipment Operation & MaintenanceLearn and maintain the components of the electroplating line, including:rectifierspumpsheatersmixersventilation systemsevaporatorsscrubberspiping, valves, and flow systemsMonitor electrical current levels and process parametersTrack maintenance changes and equipment performance in logbooksAssist with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of plating systemsChemical Handling & Laboratory ControlSafely handle plating chemicals according to OSHA requirements and industry standardsReview and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all on-site chemicalsMaintain proper labeling and storage of chemicals throughout the facilityMonitor chemical reactions and bath conditions to maintain stable plating processesMaintain organized chemical inventory and storage areasProcess Documentation & OrganizationMaintain accurate production logs, bath maintenance records, and chemical trackingDocument equipment adjustments, chemical additions, and system changesEnsure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirementsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environmentQualificationsExperience working in electroplating, chemical processing, laboratory, or industrial finishing environments is preferredBackground in chemistry, materials science, engineering, or related technical fields is a strong advantageElectrical or mechanical aptitude for working with process equipmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and manage plating processes with minimal supervisionBasic computer skills, including Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics/Navision is a plusBackground in jewelry manufacturing, plating, polishing, or finishing processes is a plusQualificationsExperience working in electroplating, chemical processing, laboratory, or industrial finishing environments is preferredBackground in chemistry, materials science, engineering, or related technical fields is a strong advantageElectrical or mechanical aptitude for working with process equipmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and manage plating processes with minimal supervisionBasic computer skills, including Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics/Navision is a plusBackground in jewelry manufacturing, plating, polishing, or finishing processes is a plusSkills & Personal AttributesThe ideal candidate will be:Science-minded and analyticalExtremely organized and detail-orientedEfficient and capable of maintaining production paceComfortable working independently in a laboratory environmentReliable, hardworking, and accountableAble to learn and master specialized manufacturing processesFocused on maintaining safe chemical handling practicesEducationSTEM education, technical training, or chemistry coursework preferredLaboratory or technical training experience is beneficial but not requiredApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are an equal-opportunity employer.
