HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this quality leadership role within a precision machining environment.Position OverviewThis position is responsible for leading quality control operations across machining cells to ensure that precision-manufactured components meet internal specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. The Quality Control Manager will oversee inspection processes, nonconformance resolution, quality documentation, and team development.This role requires a hands-on leader who understands machining processes, dimensional inspection, and regulated quality systems. It is not an administrative-only positionthe selected candidate must be comfortable working directly on the production floor.Core ResponsibilitiesOversee in-process and final inspection activities across machining operationsLead First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and documentationInterpret and apply GD&T requirements to inspection standardsManage nonconformance investigations, MRB reviews, and corrective action processesEnsure compliance with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 quality systemsTrain, mentor, and support quality inspectors and production personnelMaintain inspection records and quality documentation accuracyPartner with production and engineering teams to resolve dimensional and process issuesMonitor trends and implement preventive quality improvementsSupport internal audits and maintain calibration program oversightRequired Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)Minimum 5+ years of quality experience within a precision machining environmentAdvanced blueprint reading and GD&T proficiencyDirect experience performing and reviewing FAIs and in-process inspectionsExperience managing nonconformance reports (NCRs), MRBs, and corrective actionsWorking knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 quality standardsDemonstrated leadership or mentoring experience within a manufacturing settingStable employment history within machining or regulated environmentsCandidates without machining-related quality experience will not be considered.
