Purchasing Specialist

The Purchasing Specialist will foster strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate terms and pricing, while coordinating with the sales team on quotes and pricing strategies. Key responsibilities include identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing stock orders up to $25,000, addressing supplier delivery issues, and handling daily purchasing for corporate orders. Additionally, the specialist will participate in annual inventory activities and work towards meeting departmental performance standards.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedulesDevelop a basic understanding of the products or services being purchased to make smart purchasing decisionsCoordinate with the sales team to assist with quotes, support specific opportunities, and ensure alignment with pricing strategies for optimal resultsIdentify cost savings opportunities by leveraging distributors and suppliers' up front rebates and deal registrationEvaluate, approve, and place stock orders up to $25,000Respond to ETA requests received outside of working hours in MacedoniaAddress any issues with suppliers with delivery delays, or discrepancies in ordersDaily purchasing of goods for our corporate sales ordersAnnual Inventory – participate in annual inventory physical account preparation, count and variance activitiesMeet performance standards of the department (goals & objectives).Responsibilities may include project-related workCompetencies and SkillsMultitask and communicate with vendors on price, availability, and order status for ACP CreativIT's purchase ordersMust be detail-oriented and embrace critical thinking abilities given our diverse business model with IT, AV, Managed Services & Labor along with dropships and warehousing inventory.Shows strong problem-solving skills by proactively identifying issues and implementing effective solutionsKnowledge, Education & Experience2–3 years of purchasing experienceExperience in the computer, A/V, and/or distribution industry is helpfulMicrosoft Office experience required with Teams, Outlook and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel preferredExperience with Oracle Netsuite preferred but not requiredSalaryStarting at $52,000 per year.Tusker is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
