With multiple distribution centers and territory managers across the United States, Sunset Healthcare Solutions delivers reliable, high-quality products to meet the needs of patients and providers nationwide.Role DescriptionWe are looking for a proactive and analytical Purchasing Analyst to join our procurement team. In this role, you will own end-to-end purchasing activities for products, components, and supplies while driving meaningful cost savings, strengthening supplier partnerships, and enhancing supply chain efficiency. You will combine strategic negotiation with data-driven decision-making to deliver value and support operational excellence across the organization.This is a high-impact position ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of analytics, relationship management, and continuous improvement.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain vendor relationships, evaluating bids/price changes, negotiating contracts/terms (prices, MOQs, payment terms, lead times, volume discounts), issuing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.Analyze spend data, purchase history, market trends, and supplier pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities, potential risks, and areas for process improvement.Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to assess capabilities, pricing competitiveness, quality, reliability, and compliance with organizational standards.Support contract negotiations by preparing data analysis, cost comparisons, and recommendations for favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.Monitor inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier delivery performance; track key metrics such as on-time delivery, cost variance, and supplier quality.Maintain and update supplier data, vendor records, pricing agreements, and purchasing reports.Perform regular audits of purchasing processes, vendor relationships, and transactional data to identify inefficiencies or non-compliance issues.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align purchasing needs with departmental requirements and resolve discrepancies.Track and report on procurement KPIs, savings achieved, spend analysis, and compliance; prepare periodic reports for management review.Stay informed on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, regulatory changes, and procurement best practices.Support continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing processes and automation.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. (Preferred)2–5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.Proven track record negotiating with international suppliers and managing complex purchasing processes.Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, contract management, cost modeling, and supply chain fundamentals.Advanced analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights and drive fact-based decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels and cultures.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.Detail-oriented mindset paired with strong problem-solving capabilities.This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with the position.
