Test Technician
Job title: Test Technician Job Location: Durham NC 27703 Job Duration: 12 + months Contract – Temp to hire Pay Rate - $22.50 /hr. on W2 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm Candidate will be trained on first shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm for the first 4 to 6 weeks Position Summary Responsible for testing, troubleshooting, configuring, and repairing vial-filling machines to ensure each unit meets quality, performance, and customer configuration requirements before shipment. Works closely with manufacturing leadership to meet production and shipping priorities. Minimum Qualifications Education / ExperienceAAS in a technical field preferred OR3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with electronics or electromechanical systems Required SkillsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagramsProficient in using multimeters and electronic diagnostic toolsStrong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and software issuesAbility to follow detailed test procedures and documentationExperience performing software installations, firmware updates, and system configurationsStrong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Key Responsibilities Testing & QualityPerform functional testing of vial-filling machinesValidate performance, accuracy, safety, and reliabilityDocument test results, defects, and corrective actionsEnsure units meet quality standards and customer specifications Troubleshooting & RepairDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issuesUse schematics and diagnostic tools to identify failuresPerform repairs, calibrations, and adjustmentsCollaborate with Engineering and Technical Support as needed Configuration & SoftwareLoad software and perform firmware updatesConfigure machines based on order requirementsVerify programmed settings and labeling accuracy Production & CollaborationAlign work with production priorities and shipping schedulesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaProvide feedback for process improvementAssist in training new technicians Documentation & ComplianceAccurately record work in MES systemsFollow all safety, quality, and standard work proceduresSupport continuous improvement and corrective action initiatives
