Tax and Accounts Manager
Overview A dynamic professional services team is seeking an experienced Tax Accounting Manager to lead complex engagements, manage staff, and provide strategic guidance to clients. Key ResponsibilitiesLead all phases of tax planning, preparation, review, compliance, and researchPrepare and review Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate tax returnsProvide actionable guidance based on current tax laws, regulatory requirements, and industry-specific considerationsSupervise and mentor junior staff, including performance evaluations and professional developmentOversee complex accounting and tax projects, ensuring timely and accurate deliveryReview engagement work papers, resolve issues, and communicate key developments to senior leadershipPlan and coordinate engagement workflows, staffing, and schedulesIdentify opportunities for additional client services and internal process improvements RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Required)CPA designation (Required)7+ years of public accounting or professional services experience (Required)Experience with CCH Axcess, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intuit QuickBooks (Preferred)Real Estate or asset-based client experience (Preferred) Skills and AttributesStrong leadership and team management skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple prioritiesProactive, client-focused, and solutions-oriented Role DetailsFull-time, hybrid position aligned to Eastern TimeBased in New York, NY; must reliably commute or plan to relocateCompetitive salary range: $125,000-$160,000Benefits: health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer contributions, professional development
