Senior Manager - Service
Your TasksThe Senior Manager - Service is responsible for leading and coordinating service operations supporting Dürr Automotive paint finishing and automation systems at customer manufacturing facilities. This role manages Field Service Engineers and Service Specialists, oversees daily service scheduling, and ensures effective execution of service activities. The Senior Manager - Service provides both operational leadership and technical guidance to support installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and aftermarket service activities. This position works closely with customers and internal teams to maintain reliable equipment performance and high levels of customer satisfaction.Manage and coordinate daily field service activities and service call schedulingSupervise Field Service Engineers and Service SpecialistsAssign service calls and prioritize customer support activitiesEnsure timely response to emergency service requestsMonitor service workload and resource utilizationSupport continuous improvement of service processes and proceduresSupervise training department operationsProvide technical leadership supporting Dürr Automotive finishing and automation systems, including:Paint automation equipmentRobotic application systemsConveyorsOvensPaint boothsSealing equipmentMechanical and electrical systemsAutomation and controlsSupport troubleshooting of complex technical issuesAssist with equipment start-up and commissioning at customer facilitiesSupport testing and validation of automation systemsProvide technical direction for major repairs and system modificationsCustomer SupportMaintain strong relationships with customer engineering and maintenance teamsSupport resolution of complex technical issuesEnsure high levels of customer satisfactionParticipate in customer service planning and review meetingsAftermarket and Service SupportSupport development of aftermarket proposals for equipment modifications and refurbishmentsSupport spare parts planning and service inventory activitiesOversee consignment cabinet and parts management activitiesCoordinate contractor activities when requiredSupport aftermarket service and sales opportunitiesLeadership ResponsibilitiesProvide direction and technical guidance to service personnelFoster a positive work environment that encourages achievement of team objectives and customer satisfactionSupport training and development of Field Service personnelPromote safe work practicesEncourage teamwork and accountabilityYour Skills:Required7+ years of experience in a technical service or field service environmentStrong knowledge of industrial automation and finishing equipmentExperience supporting equipment at customer manufacturing facilitiesStrong troubleshooting skillsStrong verbal and written communication abilityStrong organizational and time management skillsProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal teamsValid driver’s license and ability to travelPreferredExperience with Dürr Automotive equipment and installationsSalesforce Service CloudKnowledge of Dürr parts and systemsSAP experienceAutomotive manufacturing experiencePrevious leadership or supervisory experience
