This role seeks a Heavy Highway Construction Project Superintendent to supervise heavy highway construction contracts, ensuring projects are planned, scheduled, directed, and coordinated to meet objectives within prescribed timeframes and funding. Individuals committed to ensuring safety compliance and meeting quality standards. Candidates proficient in project planning, scheduling, directing, and coordinating. Those familiar with MassDOT specifications and contract documents are preferred. What Youll DoSupervise Heavy Highway construction contracts. Plan, schedule, direct, and coordinate project activities. Ensure safety compliance for crews, subcontractors, and the public. Develop and communicate project schedules to all stakeholders. Ensure quality control plans and company standards are met. Manage project P&L and analyze daily job cost reports. Maintain and submit daily reports, tracking and documenting all work. Place orders for materials, trucks, and equipment as necessary. Manage compliance with all contract requirements. Train new crew members and communicate project status with managers and customers. Participate in the estimating and bidding process. What Were Looking ForHigh school diploma required; bachelors in construction management preferred. 5+ years of heavy highway construction supervision experience. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to set objectives and goals and drive results. Proficiency in basic mathematical computations. Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Knowledge of MassDOT specifications and contract documents is preferred. Ability to read plans/blueprints and basic survey knowledge is preferred.CompensationCompensation: $43 – $58 hour.
