Pediatric Anesthesiologist - Garnet Health Medical Center - Full Time, Call Taking

Overview Pediatric Anesthesiologist position at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, NY, a fast-growing, family-friendly setting. Responsibilities Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department. Provide medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments. Obtain and/or verify patient consent. Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient. Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitor the patient’s physiological condition. Perform clinical interventions as needed. Qualifications M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine. ECFMG and FLEX. Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia. Currently licensed as a physician. Position Details Case assignments include endoscopy, general, ortho, labor and delivery, radiology, urology, vascular, gynecology, ENT, neuro, and plastics. 45% to 50% of cases are pediatric, contingent upon expansion of pediatric surgical services. Shifts: call-taking position with overnight calls to be discussed as night float available.
