Job Overview This is a 1099 Anesthesiologist opportunity with RUMC. The role involves managing anesthesia for patients undergoing a range of acute, medical, and surgical procedures, including emergency and minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgeries. Responsibilities Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department. Responsible for the medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Pre‑anesthesia assessment. Obtain and/or verify patient consent. Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient. Induce, maintain, and manage emergence from anesthesia. Monitor the patient's physiological condition. Perform clinical interventions as needed. Qualifications M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine. ECFMG and FLEX certification. Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia. Currently licensed as a physician. Compensation Salary: $275 per hour. Location & Lifestyle Staten Island is the southernmost of New York City's five boroughs.
