CULTURE is seeking a Lead Full-Stack Engineer to move our platform from live concept to a high-fidelity, production-grade ecosystem. This is a mission-critical founding role. You will be the primary architect of the Global Bridge — a sovereign, low-latency system capable of real-time co-annotation, encrypted cross-border dialogue, and blockchain-verified credentialing between North American classrooms and our Sovereign Server Hubs in Africa. You will set technical standards, lead a remote team of engineers, and make foundational decisions that will shape this platform for years. What You Will BuildReal-time collaborative annotation and classroom synchronization engine (WebSockets / WebRTC) Secure, identity-verified user authentication and access control system Offline-first, low-data content delivery optimized for variable bandwidth environments Blockchain-verified digital credentialing and badge issuance pipeline Scalable multi-region cloud infrastructure connecting North America and African server hubs Administrative dashboard for educators, institutions, and platform oversight
What We Are Looking For:
- Required 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience, with production-grade deployments
- Deep proficiency in React or React Native and Node.jsExperience with real-time systems — WebSockets, WebRTC, or equivalent
- Strong cloud infrastructure experience — AWS, GCP, or Azure — including multi-region architecture
- Database design and optimization — PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring a remote engineering team
- Strongly Preferred
- Experience with offline-first or low-bandwidth application architecture
- Familiarity with blockchain credentialing standards — Open Badges or Verifiable Credentials
- Background building EdTech, LMS, or credentialing platforms
- Personal or professional connection to the African Diaspora mission
