Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled nursing care to patients, focusing on patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning within a Medical/Surgical setting. The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care. This position requires a minimum of two years of experience and an active Illinois RN license.Location:Springfield, Illinois, United StatesResponsibilities:- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in a Medical/Surgical unit.- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.- Develop and implement patient care plans.- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.- Document patient care accurately and timely in Cerner.- Manage PICC lines and initiate IVs.- Willingness to care for patients with trachs and laryngectomies.- Float within scope to meet facility needs.- Willingness to take up to 1:7 ratio if needed.Required Skills & Certifications:- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.- BLS certification.- PICC line management experience.- Experience with starting IVs.Preferred Skills & Certifications:- Cerner experience.Special Considerations:- Will work every other weekend.- If requested time off falls on weekend traveler would be scheduled per rotation, traveler will be scheduled additional weekend to make up for time away.- Must be willing to take trach and laryngectomy patients.- Must be willing to take up to 1:7 ratio if needed.- Will float as needed.- Manager will review and decide on RTO based on unit's schedule.- Only able to request 1 winter holiday off.Scheduling:
