This role will manage a variety of projects from concept to completion, and will work with upper management on staff development, firm marketing, and efforts to sustain and develop business at JB&B.As a Senior Engineer in the HVAC Department, you’ll lead project teams, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with firm leadership to deliver high-quality mechanical engineering solutions.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Department Leader to develop conceptual designs and guide projects through completionAct as the primary day-to-day client contact for assigned projectsManage and review all project-related documents to ensure accuracy and timely deliveryOversee technical and functional quality of project deliverablesPresent and explain project designs confidently in internal and external meetingsCoordinate and update project teams to meet design expectations and deadlinesInitiate and manage design changes, proposals, and approvalsSuccessfully execute multiple fit-out/renovation projects and/or large, complex projects from concept to completionMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering8-14 years of engineering experienceProficient in all design calculations and software tools (e.g., Revit and AutoCAD) applicable to your disciplineStrong project management and leadership skillsStrong understanding of trade-specific scope of project, trade-related codes, and the required coordination with other tradesStrong understanding of documentation requirements and content for each deliverable phase (e.g., SD, DD, CD and specifications)Why Work at JB&B?Legacy + Innovation: Our company blends a rich history with forward-thinking design, including smart building systems and deep carbon reduction strategies.
