Company DescriptionSOCOTEC is a provider of niche consulting services within the engineering and construction industries focusing on power, infrastructure, and specialty structures and systems.Through an integrated, holistic approach, our professionals assess the integrity, reliability, and operational capabilities of assets at all phases of their life cycle.We provide innovative, cost effective, and risk-based solutions.Within SOCOTEC, our Technical Consultancy and Advisory (TCA) group consists of two pillars: Engineering and Advisory.Engineering includes five major areas of service: advanced analysis/fitness-for-service, root cause failure & materials analyses, nondestructive engineering & testing, and engineering design consulting.Advisory is comprised of four major service areas: dispute resolution, project advisory, schedule-delay analyses, and economic damages.SOCOTEC’s combination of expertise, experience and methods are increasingly recognized as best-in-class fueling significant growth for our clients.SOCOTEC is proud to announce that it has been officially certified as a Great Place to Work by the renowned global authority on workplace culture, Great Place to Work.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a bright, ambitious, and qualified individual, with at least 10 years of experience, who can:Perform, direct, specify, and lead stress analyses to solve and report on complex issues related to design, life assessment, and root cause failure analyses.Contribute to advanced testing including the assessment of the physical structure and behavior of metals\materials.Perform heat transfer, fluid dynamics, fracture mechanics, and structural stress analyses of pressure vessels, piping systems, rotating equipment, bridges, and other structures using classical and finite element analyses methods (e.g., ANSYS, LS-DYNA, SAP, and others).Work with industry codes and standards for the design and analyses of structures and systems.Manage projects, organize new business opportunities, and communicating effectively with clients, engineering colleagues, and technical and administrative staff.Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or managerQualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical, metallurgical, or structural engineering; a master’s degree or PhD is preferred.10+ years of experience, minimum.A Professional Engineer license is preferred.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, for both technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to pass background and drug screenings to obtain security clearances at a commercial nuclear plant.Ability to travel to customer or project sites, which may include weekends.Additional InformationSOCOTEC offers generous compensation packages including salary, benefits & bonus based upon relevant experience.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelinesSalary Range: $150,000-$225,000SOCOTEC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.SummaryType: Full-timeFunction: EngineeringExperience level: AssociateIndustry: Architecture And Planning
