DescriptionType - Heads upAM: Paige CorryInterview Mode:1st video round with implementation client and 2nd video round with end clientBackend Developer - Python / FastAPIPosition DescriptionClient is seeking a Backend Developer with strong experience in Python and FastAPI to support and enhance scalable backend services and APIs.This role will focus on production support and small enhancements for existing applications, including troubleshooting, defect resolution, performance optimization, and incremental feature development.Experience with Microsoft Azure is preferred, and familiarity with Angular/JavaScript is a plus.Your Future Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI .Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions.Develop and optimize business logic, database integrations, and external service integrations.Support application performance, reliability, security, and scalability.Collaborate with product owners, architects, front-end developers, QA, and other stakeholders.Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and Agile development activities.Required Qualifications4+ years of software development experience , with strong hands-on experience in Python .Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services using FastAPI or similar frameworks such as Flask or Django.Strong understanding of API design, authentication/authorization, and data validation.Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.Experience with Git, automated testing, debugging, and performance optimization.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application development.Familiarity with Angular, JavaScript, or TypeScript .Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines .Experience with asynchronous programming or event-driven architectures.Desired SkillsPrimary: Python, FastAPI, REST APIs, Backend Development, DatabasesPreferred: Microsoft Azure, Angular/JavaScript, Azure DevOps, Docker/KubernetesEducationBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
