Inside Sales Representative

Job Description Duties & Responsibilities:The Inside Sales Representative is a vital part of the sales team, leveraging and supporting the outside sales staff through timely and accurate contact with customers and suppliers. The primary objectives are to understand and anticipate the needs of the sales team, be familiar with current business and business opportunities, have great rapport with both customers and suppliers, and communicate news and needs to others, as necessary, to provide timely response to requests and resolution of issues.Specific Duties:Communicating with Outside sales representatives, traffic and production departments multiple times a day to coordinate activitiesAnswering customer telephone calls and servicing or coordinating responsesUnderstanding customer’s needs and requirementsProviding delivery information, and expediting deliveriesIssuing customer quotesResearching product availabilityTroubleshooting problemsTaking orders from customersEntering ordersManaging customer expectationsResolving complaintsProviding product informationHelping to resolve billing/accounting inconsistencies or disputesAnswering telephones and takes messages or transfers callsProviding information to customers via telephone or the internetProvide excellent customer service internally and externallyUnderstand operations within the plantOperating office machines, i.e., computer, calculating and duplicating machinesCompetencies:Attention to detailDesire to learn and contributeExcellent interpersonal skillsFlexibility with job responsibilities to cooperate and get things done in a small departmentKnowledge and experience in general accounting processes and proceduresWorking knowledge of and Microsoft Office for Windows business systemsRapid and accurate typingPunctually present in our Franklin, OH office during normal business hours, 8:00AM – 5:00PM, Monday through Friday.High proficiency in written and spoken English language, including technical subjects pertinent to our businessQualifications/Training:Education: Two-year technical degree or prior experienceExperience Preferences: Prior Sales and/or Marketing background or experience. Knowledge of basic math principles such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; a basic understanding of weights and measurements.
