Junior Systems Analyst (Deskside Support)Location: Rockville, MD U.S. Nuclear Regulatory CommissionSecurity Clearance: Public TrustPosition Type: Contract (6 Months) Potential for Leidos FTE conversionPositions: 2Work Schedule: Day ShiftWork Type: OnsiteRole SummaryLeidos is seeking two Junior Systems Analysts (Deskside Services Technicians) to provide onsite IT support services at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Rockville, MD .This role delivers a wide range of IT services including help desk support, deskside support, Windows workstation engineering and maintenance, managed print services, ITSM support, Active Directory services, and video conferencing support .The technician will provide direct end-user support , assisting with device deployment, system troubleshooting, software installation, and hardware repair while ensuring seamless integration of new and existing IT systems.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide deskside support for users when tickets are dispatched from the Service Desk.Stage devices (phones and computers) for deployment, including:Installing operating systemsRenaming computersJoining devices to the domainInstalling required software according to onboarding formsProvide break/fix support for end-user computer devices including laptops, desktops, and peripheral hardware.Deploy and retrieve end-user devices , including providing a short tutorial to familiarize users with new equipment.Install specialty software not packaged in SCCM when required.Order hardware parts for repair with leadership approval.Diagnose and resolve local printer issues .Perform PIN PIV resets using security solutions .Install and configure local printers .Provide consulting, oversight, and integration support for existing hardware, software, and new system initiatives at customer sites.Required Technical SkillsDeskside support for users through Service Desk ticket dispatch.Device staging including:OS installationComputer renamingDomain joiningSoftware installation based on onboarding formsBreak/fix troubleshooting for laptops, desktops, and peripheral hardware.Deployment and retrieval of end-user devices .Installation of specialty software not packaged in SCCM .Hardware troubleshooting and parts ordering for device repairs .Printer troubleshooting and installation .PIN PIV resets using security solutions .Knowledge of Active Directory services .Familiarity with ITSM environments .Preferred / Nice-to-Have SkillsServiceNow proficiency.Knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 .Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite .Presentation and communication skills.Ability to work quickly, accurately, and efficiently under tight deadlines.Highly organized, proactive, and collaborative work style.Ability to work both independently and within a team environment .Familiarity with tools and techniques used to support data, information, and knowledge transitions .Qualifications & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.1 2+ years of related IT support experience or technical training .Experience providing deskside support and end-user device troubleshooting .U.S. Citizenship required .Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance .About the Team / ProjectThis role supports a Leidos program providing IT services to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) . The team delivers operational support across end-user computing, workstation engineering, IT service management, and infrastructure services.The positions are fully onsite in Rockville, Maryland , supporting day-to-day IT operations and user support within a government environment.
