Electrical Controls Engineer - PRAB

Electrical Controls Engineers are responsible for overall design of the company’s electrical controls. This is a highly visible position both within the company and to its customers. Strength in controls design coupled with proven project management ability and excellent communication skills are hallmarks of a successful Electrical Controls Engineer. This full-time position reports to the Engineering Manager.QualificationsDedication to excellence and a quality outputMinimum of Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experienceFive-years of experience in controls designDedication to Excellence and a quality productWorking knowledge of AutoCAD ElectricalWorking knowledge of Windows and general computer operationWorking knowledge of MS Word, ExcelWorking knowledge with various PLC programming softwareMust be able to work independently, accurately & efficientlyDemonstrated communication, organizational & time management skillsMust be able to manage multiple projects concurrentlyResponsibilitiesThe following activities are required in this position:Promote excellence throughout the departmentDesign, documentation, testing & troubleshooting of controlsProduction of detailed electrical schematics and panel layout drawings with bill of materialCustomer contact with respect to the controlsWork closely with the Design Group detailing exactly what is required in any given panelProviding Engineering support to internal departmentsGuide and assist Service DepartmentPanel & Logic check-out in the shop before shipment“Ownership” and responsibility for projectsInterpretation of Customer requirements/specificationsTravel to customer sites as neededWork closely and communicate with other departments regarding current projectsPanel check out in shop before shipmentControls Design Engineers represent the company at a high level and must conduct themselves in a professional mannerOthers as required by the Supervisor
