Who We WantAre you an Electrical Engineer looking to join a team of new product innovators who specialize in partnering with the world’s top neuro and spine surgeons to revolutionize patient outcomes?Our global team is looking for a Staff Electrical Design Engineer who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what is possible by collaborating across the globe with other worldclass engineers.In this role, you will be part of multidisciplinary team where you will be tasked with owning the electrical hardware design for complex handheld powered devices used in cranial and spinal procedures.What You Will DoDefine and maintain system-level electrical architecture, ensuring alignment across hardware, software, and product interfacesProvide technical direction, mentorship, and design oversight to 1-2 electrical engineers across the teamIdentify and proactively mitigate technical risks across the electrical subsystemIndependently design and develop various electronic components including schematic and layout of circuit boards and wire harnessesDevelop, review, and execute electrical system test methods using the appropriate equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers)Lead creation and refinement of technical design documentation including drawings, design descriptions, requirements, and stackup calculationsInterface with manufacturers to develop manufacturing test specificationsWork cooperatively with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success.Deliver high quality results with passion, energy and drive to meet business prioritiesWhat You NeedMinimum (Required Qualifications)Bachelor's degree in EE or related discipline & 4+ years of work experience.Demonstrated schematic design, PCBA layout, and circuit modeling competency.Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated experience owning the electrical development of medical devices or similar regulated productsAdvanced understanding of the design of complex components and sub-systemsAbility to apply advanced circuit and electrical system test methodsAdvanced understanding of manufacturing and testing methodsAbility to apply standard technologies used in industryAbility to perform complex electrical stack-upsUnderstanding of statistical methodsAdvanced knowledge of sub-system, system, and environmental interaction$89,300 - $148,800 USD AnnualHealth benefits include: Medical and prescription drug insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, critical illness insurance, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, personalized healthcare support, wellbeing program and tobacco cessation program.
