Senior Dotnet Developer

We’re hiring a Senior .NET Developer for a long-term contract opportunity with a major airline.Position: Senior .NET DeveloperLocation: Hybrid – Houston, TXPay Rate: $80–$88 per hourContract Length: 12 months with potential for extensionSchedule: Mostly remote with approximately one day onsite per week, typically WednesdayInterview Process: One video interviewThis developer will support several active technology projects and help build scalable, cloud-based applications using C#, .NET, and AWS.The ideal candidate is a senior-level developer who can work independently, make technical decisions, contribute to application architecture, and guide other developers when needed.Key Responsibilities:Build and improve applications using C# and .NET CoreDevelop REST APIs and microservicesDesign cloud-native solutions using AWSParticipate in architecture and technical design reviewsWrite clean, scalable, and reliable codeTroubleshoot and improve existing applicationsBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelinesWork with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as CodeMonitor application performance and reliabilityProvide technical guidance and mentorship to other developersRequired Experience:Advanced C# and .NET development experienceStrong experience with .NET Core, preferably .NET 8 or newerExperience designing software and cloud architectureHands-on experience with REST APIs and microservicesStrong AWS-native development experienceExperience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOpsExperience with Docker and KubernetesExperience with Terraform or CloudFormationExperience with SQL and NoSQL databasesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsPreferred AWS Experience:LambdaAPI GatewayS3DynamoDBRDSSQS and SNSIAMVPCNice to Have:GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development toolsGenerative AI or large language model integration experienceTechnical leadership or mentoring experienceExperience supporting multiple projects at the same timeHouston-area candidates are strongly preferred.
