Sr. Financial Analyst

DescriptionThe Senior Financial Analyst (“SFA”) is a critical role in the Finance Team, directly supporting the optimization of financial success for the organization and within each line of business. By living in the details, the SFA will dive deep into the underlying data to understand the inputs holistically so we can continue to improve forecasts, deliver actionable insights and results, and bring greater visibility with our leadership team and across functions. In this role you will report directly to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis and partner with department leads across the organization.FLSA StatusNon-ExemptSalary Range$90,000 - $120,000Reports ToDirector, FP&ADirect ReportsN/ALocationHybrid in LA Office (3 days in office)TravelOccasionalWork TypeRegularScheduleFull TimePosition DescriptionDrive core financial processes including Month-end close, Annual Budget, and Monthly/Quarterly Financial ReviewsProvide insightful financial and operating results and metrics to optimize financial performance and support strategic decision-makingMaintain and update financial analytics surrounding Revenue, Gross Profit, and ExpensesSource and analyze data from company IT platforms (CRM Tool, Professional Services Automation Tool, Financial Tools) to drive decision-making on resourcing and key growth investmentsFacilitate the management of budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibilityDevelop complex business modeling and analysis to promote growth and cost efficiency across business and product lines. Manage and drive efficiencies in company’s cost base through analysis of key expense driversWork with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key data is timely and accurateIn partnership with Manager of Finance, identify and lead initiatives to improve, automate, and scale forecasting and reporting tools, processes, or methodologiesUphold consistent standards across all deliverables for ease of use, transferability, and sustainabilityProvide personalized and quality service by communicating with internal customers to address financial and budget questionsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in business or finance preferred, equivalent experience will also be considered3+ years of experience in at least a Financial Analyst position, with significant experience in budgeting, financial analysis, data analysis, and modelingDemonstrated financial planning, financial operations, analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable informationAbility to prepare and present budgets and forecastsOperationally adept, with the ability to connect revenues and expenses to operational data and activitiesPrefer experience with Microsoft PowerBI, SQL, Tableau, DOMO, or other advanced reporting and analysis tools with expertiseAdvanced Excel skills and strong Powerpoint skillsStrong attention to detailAdaptable and flexible in a complex, changing environmentA highly analytical and naturally curious natureAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environmentAbility to follow set standards in order to maintain consistency of deliverablesAbility to self-teach and work independently, even on less-defined projectsHighly adaptable team player, ability to pivot quickly depending on the needs of the businessPassionate, energetic, approachable with a positive, low-ego, can-do demeanorEmbrace of ambiguity and figuring out the solution.BenefitsAs a firm passionate about health care, we’re deeply committed to the health and wellness of our own team members.
