Access Control Systems Engineer
*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Access Control Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the security and integrity of our facilities through effective access control measures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of security systems and technologies, along with the ability to design and implement solutions tailored to our needs.
*Duties*
* Design and implement access control systems to enhance security protocols.
* Install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware related to access control systems.
* Utilize remote access software for monitoring and managing security systems.
* Conduct regular inspections of security systems, including intrusion detection systems (IDS) and alarm systems.
* Provide field service support for access control installations and repairs.
* Collaborate with locksmithing professionals to ensure proper locking mechanisms are in place.
* Stay updated on National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations relevant to security installations.
* Engage in alarm system sales by providing expert advice on suitable products for clients.
* Oversee surveillance system installations and ensure they meet operational standards.
*Experience*
Candidates should have a background that includes:
* Proficiency in system design for access control solutions.
* Strong mechanical knowledge related to security hardware and locksmithing.
* Experience with remote access software and IDS technologies.
* Familiarity with alarm system sales processes and field service operations.
* Previous experience in surveillance system installation is preferred.
