Good Morning America Production Intern, Fall 2026

About The Role & ProgramJoin the committed team that delivers the top-rated morning show in America – Good Morning America! GMA interns provide production support to booking, first hour, second hour or field and series teams. Throughout the experience, interns have an opportunity to collaborate with producers, attend editorial meetings and learn the inner workings of America’s number one morning show.The approximate dates of this internship are mid-August 2026 through early January 2027. What You Will DoSupport staff by answering phones, attending morning and afternoon editorial meetings, possibly booking guests, writing scripts, producing taped content, and performing other tasks as requiredResearch topics using a variety of sources, including video archives, the internet, library archives and others as neededYour responsibilities may also include: handling mail and providing additional support functions as neededRequired Qualifications & SkillsPrevious experience (academic or internship) in journalism (print and/or broadcast); television production, news and news media production; and/or television news script writingExperience with multi-tasking in a constantly evolving work environment, effectively balancing and prioritizing multiple projectsExperience working in collaborative environments, and researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findingsKnowledge of and/or interest in GMA’s daily showPreferred QualificationsExperience using Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Word, Access, Excel & PowerPointExperience related to social media including Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, and YouTubeEducation Major or previous coursework in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Film/Television or a related fieldJunior or Senior year preferredEligibility Requirements & Internship InformationCandidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.Be at least 18 years of agePossess unrestricted work authorizationAdditional InformationAble to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internshipThe approximate dates of this internship are mid-August 2026 through early January 2027Fully available to work 40 hours per week (hours and days to be determined by your supervisor and could include early mornings, nights, weekends, and/or possible overnights)Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York areaAble to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour.
