YMX Logistics is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Operations Manager - DFW area to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the business, including Safety, strategic planning, financial management, people development, and regulatory compliance. They will lead teams to optimized efficiency, drive growth, and ensure the company's competitiveness in the transportation industry.Responsibilities:Lead the implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.Lead and motivate a diverse team of drivers, dispatchers, and staff to achieve operational excellence and meet performance targets.Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to streamline workflows and increase productivity, leveraging ERP and TMS systems.Ensure safety protocols and regulations are in place and enforced to create a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.Develop and manage the location budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or service levels.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous performance enhancement.Collaborate with other departments such as HR, Customer Success, and Solution Development to coordinate activities and optimize overall operational performance, including executing a company growth strategy.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing trucking operations.Leadership and strategic management skills: Must possess strong leadership abilities to oversee and manage all aspects of the company's operations. This includes setting strategic goals, developing operational plans, and leading teams to achieve objectives efficiently.Essential Functions:Relationship management: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills are essential to collaborate effectively with other executives, department heads, clients, vendors, and stakeholders.Problem-solving and decision-making abilities: Must be able to analyze complex issues, identify solutions, and make sound decisions quickly and effectively, often under pressure.Change management expertise: Adept at managing change, whether it involves implementing new technology, expanding into new markets, or restructuring operations.Regulatory compliance knowledge: A thorough understanding of local, state, and federal regulations governing the transportation industry is necessary to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.Vision and innovation: A forward-thinking mindset and the ability to anticipate industry trends, identify opportunities for innovation, and drive continuous improvement within the organization.
