Field Services Manager

(Houston, Texas): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Field Services Supervisor to lead and develop a field engineering team responsible for the successful commissioning, startup, maintenance, and support of industrial electrical and automation systems. This role oversees resource planning, project execution, budget management, team development, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with business objectives. Essential Duties Lead and develop a team of field engineers and technical professionals to support commissioning and field service activities. Plan, assign, and manage field service resources to support project schedules and customer requirements. Monitor project performance including costs, schedules, margins, and resource utilization. Develop and manage field engineering budgets and support achievement of business objectives. Provide project status updates to customers, management, and internal stakeholders. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery. Monitor team competencies and coordinate training and development initiatives. Maintain accurate records of employee skills, certifications, and qualifications. Resolve customer issues and provide on-site support when necessary. Collaborate with project management, engineering, and other departments to ensure successful project execution. Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and technical requirements. Lead performance management activities including coaching, mentoring, and employee development. Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of accountability and teamwork. Requirements / Skills Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in engineering management, project management, or a related supervisory role. Minimum of 2 years of experience specifying, designing, commissioning, or servicing electrical and automation systems in industrial environments. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and achieve operational and business objectives. Strong customer relationship management and communication skills. Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and financial performance. Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience using project management and ERP software systems. Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%, including short-notice assignments. Experience leading remote teams and managing industrial service operations preferred. Knowledge of contract review, risk management, and industrial service project execution preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to work in industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, and construction environments. Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and navigate job sites for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials as required. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to travel extensively by vehicle and air. Ability to work in varying environmental and weather conditions.
