Risk Adjustment Coding Specialist

Terms of Employment• W2 Contract, 9 Months • This is a Remote OpportunityRequired Skills & Experience• Associate's Degree in Health Information Technology, Business, or a related field.• In lieu of an Associate's degree, 2 additional years of relevant work experience is required (totaling 5 years of relevant experience).• 3 years of direct risk adjustment and Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding experience.• Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) credential is required.• Advanced Expertise in ICD-10-CM, specifically for Commercial Risk Adjustment.• Deep understanding of CMS, HHS, RADV, and risk adjustment coding and documentation guidelines.• Proven ability to interpret moderately complex to complex medical records with high accuracy.• Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).• Advanced Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Professional.• Advanced Proficiency in Claims Processing systems, specifically Facets.• Advanced ability to adapt to various coding technology platforms, such as Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to provide positive customer service and effectively communicate with all internal and external customers, including those who may be demanding or challenging.Preferred Skills & Experience• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare or business-related field.• Prior experience working across multiple different EHR/EMR platforms in a remote or consultant capacity.License/Certifications• CCS-Certified Coding Specialist or CPS, CCS-P, CRC • RHIT - Registered Health Information Technician or RHIA nTech is an equal opportunity employer.
