Volunteer: In-Kind Partner Prospect Database and Outreach Kit

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. We are looking for a partnerships professional with in-kind donation, sponsorship, or vendor relations experience to build an In-Kind Partner Prospect Database and Outreach Kit. The volunteer will deliver a vetted database of 50 to 60 in-kind partner prospects across 6 categories (production gear, post-production software and services, SaaS tools, hospitality and catering, printing and merch, venue space) with specific donation asks, dollar-equivalent values, contact details, outreach templates, and a tracking system that supports IRS and 990 reporting. Scope of work includes the following: 1. Research in-kind prospects across 6 categories 2. For each prospect, identify the specific in-kind ask and its dollar-equivalent value 3. Capture decision-maker contacts and CSR or community programs 4. Draft 3 outreach templates calibrated by category 5. Build a tracking system for valuing and acknowledging in-kind contributions 6. Document a 90 day outreach sequence The ideal volunteer has experience in vendor partnerships, in-kind sponsorship, brand activations, or nonprofit development, and understands the dual value of in-kind support (operational lift plus reportable contribution). This project should take 25 to 35 hours to complete. We are hopeful that our volunteer partner will share 2 to 5 hours of their time per week.We have an active GoHighLevel CRM with a partnerships pipeline, prior in-kind relationships, our corporate sponsorship outreach kit (which adapts well for in-kind asks), and our Financial Consultant on staff to advise on fair-market valuation and tax treatment. We have a Confluence wiki for documentation under our Atlassian Social Impact License. The volunteer will work directly with our Founder and CEO and our Operations lead, with weekly 30 minute check ins. Our Financial Consultant will be available for valuation guidance. Once complete, the database and outreach kit become the operational backbone for sourcing donated gear, software, services, and space across all our programs, directly reducing our cash overhead and expanding what we can offer the youth and emerging filmmakers we serve. We are looking for a partnerships professional with in-kind donation, sponsorship, or vendor relations experience to build an In-Kind Partner Prospect Database and Outreach Kit.
