Field Infrastructure Network Engineer

Our Dallas based client is looking for a Field Infrastructure Engineer to provide on-site/field network infrastructure implementation and support for the Company’s locations across the United States. You will be responsible for identifying and understanding a project’s needs, streamlining project requirements, working with the designated Project Manager to produce drafts, and ensuring overall project quality. This role supports the integration of new acquisitions to the Company's standards as well as IT-related projects at existing locations. Additionally, this role is responsible for helping resolve onsite technical incidents with the core network (Cisco Meraki) and security stack, Wi-Fi, cameras, computer systems to include software, hardware, and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, and other IT related incidents, all while being skilled in installing, configuring, and maintaining these systems, and supporting customers through the resolution of support incidents.Success in this role will require collaboration with a team of experienced Network Infrastructure Engineers to implement systems and infrastructures based on industry standards, ensuring projects are delivered with the highest quality.Job ResponsibilitiesWork with the team to implement network and infrastructure systems, including hardware, software, and applicationsAssist in the maintenance of systems, network, hardware, applications, and corporate voice and data infrastructureSupport and maintain client networks, including circuit connectivity, segmentation, and VLANs, management of firewalls, connected devices, and VOIP (Ring Central) phone systemsAssist in the planning and implementation of systems and network integrations for new clientsSupport projects and other activities, including installation, upgrades, and system updatesAssist in the resolution of onsite technical incidents with the core network (Cisco Meraki) and security stack, Wi-Fi, cameras, computer systems, including software, hardware, and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, and other IT-related incidentsFollow standard procedures in maintaining and resolving issues, including frequent communication on progress or resolution of issuesAll other duties as assignedJob RequirementsBachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, is requiredMust have three to five (3-5)+ years of progressive network related experience in a professional environmentMust have experience as a Network Engineer or Administrator and/or Field Services EngineerMust have experience maintaining and troubleshooting networks, integrated systems, and desktop hardwareMust have experience working in an IT-related ticketing environmentMust have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve systems and network issues at marina site locationsMust have excellent customer-facing skills and strong verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge and experience with Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti, or any SD-WAN platform of network devices is requiredMust have an understanding of network devices and systems, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, switches, access points, cameras, cellular gateways, and wireless backhaul devicesExperience with scheduling and coordinating regional low voltage, fiber, and physical infrastructure vendors to install cabling, network components, poles, satellite dishes, and other infrastructure components is preferredKnowledge of PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards and certification process is a plusMust be proficient, detailed, and consistent in network documentation and diagrammingMust have the ability to work under pressure and in stressful situationsMust have the ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and own outcomesDetail oriented with excellent time management and follow up skillsMust have strong communication skills with experience engaging both technical peers and business stakeholdersMust have the ability to communicate and report incidents and issues to a teamMust have the ability to manage tasks of concurrent projects at one time and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of property staff and leadershipIndustry experience in maritime, real estate, hospitality, or asset-heavy, multi-unit operating environments preferredMust be proactive and driven by an insatiable desire to identify and resolve problems effectivelyMust have high hospitality-forward standards, a high level of accuracy, and a keen eye for detailMost possess a valid driver's license as this individual is required to drive to various locations and must be able to pass a background check deemed acceptable by the companyMust be able to swim or willing to wear a personal floatation device when visiting marina site locationsMust be able to travel to company locations up to fifty percent (50%) of the time with the expectation to be mostly working in outdoor conditions and moving and installing network or IT related objectsMust be able to walk on varied terrains, both stationary and floating docks, gangways, stairs, ladders, etc. in varied weather conditions to include but not limited to extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, and windMust be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to fifty (50) poundsThis position requires 3 days onsite in Dallas headquarters location when not travelingFTEClean criminal Background and ability to pass drug screenNo sponsorship options - US Citizen or GCAbility to travel 50-75% Nationwide
