Staff Accountant

OverviewThe Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring assigned duties are completed timely and accurately.Job OutlineThe Staff Accountant Will Fulfill The Following DutiesSupport A/P & A/R StaffServe as main point of contact for resolving complex A/P related issuesEnsure Compliance with vendor payment termsProcess weekly check runsProcess all vendor credits, including but not limited to parts returns, as well as request open credit balance refundsPost cash receipts to customer A/R accountsProduction of payroll information to be processedIdentify inefficiencies and recommend changes to improve processes and proceduresAssist in month-end close by preparing applicable workpapersOther duties as assignedSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.TravelTravel is not expected for this position.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceAssociate’s Degree or equivalent and 3-5 years is required.Experience in payroll is a plusExperience in IntelliDealer is a plusRequired RequisitesStrong organizational skillsStrong desire to learn new skill sets and knowledgeStrong communications skillsStrong accuracy abilityStrong computer and systems knowledgeSpecific skill requisitesExcellent skills in Microsoft Excel.Speed in data entryExperience using 10-keyGood business acumenPosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a Full-Time position. This position is expected to be in the office Monday through Friday during standard working hours.Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical DemandsThis is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required.
